The Communications Learning School

Through the study of English, Modern Foreign Languages and Film Studies, we strive to provide our students with the confidence to formulate opinions and articulate ideas through the creative study of the written and spoken word. Whilst learning from the growing global community around them, students across all areas of the Learning School are encouraged to practise and develop the essential skills of reading, writing, and oral communication - skills which underpin the academic success across the curriculum, and prepare our students for the challenges of further education, employment, and the wider world.

Alongside our curriculum, reading for pleasure is promoted across the Communications Learning School and at every opportunity. Our well-resourced library is at the heart of the Communications Learning School and is home to a variety of printed and electronic texts to inspire our students to enjoy the pleasure of wider reading, and develop a greater understanding of the world around them. Our School Librarian holds a range of lively reading clubs across all key stages, and is always on hand with some advice and guidance for our students who are looking for their next read!

Above all, the innovative and dynamic curriculum offered within the Communications Learning School means all students are given opportunities to fulfill their potential and enjoy their learning journey.  In a growing global community, the Communications Learning School will equip students with the skills to make sense of and flourish in the shifting demands of the 21st century.
