Talented volleyball players are celebrating their smashing success on the court after taking third place in a prestigious competition.
Members of the Year 8 volleyball team - Mia Cashmore, Georgia Derrick and India Martin - qualified to complete at the Black Country Youth Games finals after winning the Wolverhampton Schools competition.
PE teacher, Ms L.Stevenson, said: “They were amazing! The team played seven schools and were only beaten by a school that plays volleyball as their main school sport. They even took a game off the eventual tournament winners.
“They can now celebrate the fact that they are the third best volleyball team in the Black Country. That is quite a result considering they have only been playing for one lunchtime a week for a term. They should feel very proud.”
