Gifted Adam named among best runners in country

A gifted student is celebrating being crowned among the best runners in the country.

Adam Saul-Braddock won bronze medal in the Junior Boys 800m race at the prestigious English Schools Athletics competition, which was held at Gateshead International Stadium.

The Year 9 student qualified to take part in the tournament after his success representing Highfields in the Wolverhampton City Championships last summer and then representing the city in the West Midlands Championships.

Mr J.Birks, Head of Boys’ PE, said: “To win bronze at a tournament of this level is an incredible achievement.

“Adam should be very proud that he is officially the 3rd best 800m runner of his age in the entire country.”
