Adam's brave run against best in country

Talented athlete Adam Saul-Braddock held his own as he competed against the best young Cross Country runners in England.

The Year 9 student represented Midlands' schools in the English Schools’ Athletic Association’s Cross Country Championships, held at Wolverton Park.

After a brave run, which saw him leading the pack for the first quarter of the race, he finished in 21st place.

The ESAA National Cross Country Championship, which is organised entirely by volunteer teachers, brings together the best athletes in each of the 45 counties in England to compete for the honour of being the best in the country.

Adam qualified to compete after representing Wolverhampton Schools in the West Midlands Junior Boys Cross Country Championships and taking first place.
