The Mathematics & Science Curriculum
The Mathematics/Science Learning School houses spaces that are flexible enough to accommodate a range of teaching and learning styles ranging from ‘formal’ lessons to project-based and independent learning.
On some occasions students may find themselves being taught by just one teacher; at other times they may work through a carousel of activities with different teachers, or else in small break-out groups using spaces in the central ‘Learning Commons’.
We equip our students with the mathematical, scientific and analytical skills that are so often required in the workplace. We recognise that the key to success lies in unlocking the potential of the individual student and that all students have different aptitudes and needs and so we offer a number of progression routes, particularly at Key Stages 4 and 5.
